Be Patient! God Isn’t Finished With Me Yet!
Like the caterpillar, we too experience changes in our lives before we can become what we want to be. However, not many of our acquaintances give us a chance for these changes to take place. They only see the flaws and imperfections, and believe that is the sum total of all that we can be. Many people can only see us as we are now, not what we can become. They do not understand that the process of developing into our full potential is yet to come. They do not realize that God is still working out His purpose in our lives and that with time we can become what He wants us to.
Unfortunately, sometimes some of us join them in their beliefs and think that we cannot become anything of worth or value in society. There are times when we are the ones who have given up on ourselves, thinking that we cannot move beyond our present status in life. We need to realize that God has not given up on us, but is working His purpose out in our lives; we just need to be patient. The next time you feel like giving up because you have not realized your dreams as you had hoped, or others think you are a failure, remember God isn’t finished with you yet; just be patient.
This song sums it up.
CHORUS:
He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
The sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be, He's still working on me.
1. There really ought to be a sign upon the heart,
Don't judge her yet, there's an unfinished part.
But I'll be perfect just according to His plan
Fashioned by the Master's loving hands.
CHORUS:
2. In the mirror of His Word reflections that I see
Make me wonder why He never gave up on me.
He loves me as I am and helps me when I pray
Remember He's the Potter, I'm the clay.

Bloom Where You Are Planted
"But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance "(Gen. 45:7 NIV).
The year was 2003. I had recently moved to the Turks and Caicos Islands to work as a Missioner/Pastor. I was reading a copying of Our Daily Bread devotional with the heading “Bloom Where You Are Planted” (March 20, 2002). Those words grabbed my attention, and right there and then I knew that God was telling me something. Those words are now posted on my office wall.
Long before “Bloom where you are planted” became fashionable for motivational speeches and wall plagues, Joseph had this principle well packed down in his life. Despite being sold into slavery and the subsequent injustice of imprisonment, he did not complain but did his best to make a difference in his circumstances. In both Potiphar’s house and in prison he worked so well that he was given more responsibility. Potiphar was impressed with his attitude and approach to his work that he placed him in charge of the household affairs, and even when he was falsely placed into prison for a crime he did not commit, that did not stop him. His demeanor caught the attention of the prison official and Joseph was placed in charge of the other prisoners. Talk about blooming where you find yourself.

Welcome
Reading and collecting inspirational quotes, poems and stories have been a love of mine for many years. I have posted some of them on my office wall, shared them with friends, use them at speaking engagements, as well as in my personal life.
The truth is, inspirational quotes and stories can change a person's life. A quote or a story can influence the way you think and act. Your outlook on life can take on a new direction as you contemplate a thought or the experience of another person. In reading these quotes and stories you may choose to do further reading on these persons and their works, and learn more about their life and experiences.
My hope is that I will be able to offer you some inspiration on this page. I want to welcome you to Inspire Me, and feel free to add a comment and submit any stories, poems or quotes that you think can be an inspiration to someone. Thank you!
